A NOTE FROM SCHOOL NURSE
As the school year is nearly ending, students are excited for summer break. However, for
many, there are still assignments and exams to complete. Some come to school feeling
exhausted from lack of sleep due to staying up late to finish homework.
Please encourage your child to prioritize sleep during this busy season. According to
the CDC, sleep helps students “stay focused, improve concentration, and improve academic
performance.” Procrastination is a factor in increasing stress and sleep deprivation. Proper
time management for homework allows students to have more time for adequate sleep.
